Ivan Mamani and Roxana Vargas are artists with an altarpiece tradition. Born in the city of Cusco, they formed their family and with them the Damaris Workshop. We met more than 5 years ago in a local market, they sold their crafts and I was looking for artisans.
Since then we have worked together, their technique combined with my contemporary design has given way to a new line of craftsmanship, more current but with the Andean and traditional touch that characterizes them.
In these years we have managed to create a chain of sustainability and change, thus creating a model of work and art that has made us grow together.
It is very important for us to propose a new business model, where art and fair trade are the main components.
